On October 28th, 2018, Elizabeth Davis Frizell was honored with the prestigious 2017 Outstanding Award for Humanitarian at the 5th Annual Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Awards Gala by the Suburban Dallas/Desoto Section of the National Council of Negro Women.

This year’s theme is Hidden Figures “Revealing the Power of Success” the program is designed to pay tribute to women who exemplary the very essence of our founder Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune a distinguished educator, philanthropist, communities stateswoman, humanitarian and civil rights activist.

Dr. Bethune, was known as “The First Lady of The Struggle” because of her commitment to gain better lives for African Americans. In continuing her legacy and mission we take this time to reflect on the contributions made by women.
